Bought (but not yet picked up) my first - 1991 Tudor 79090 Blue Submariner from Bobs

Hi all,

It's been a year since I decided it was time to get myself a nice watch and I finally pulled the trigger today after eyeballing a tudor submariner 79090 (blue) at Bob's for a few weeks. https://www.bobswatches.com/rolex-tu...ner-79090.html

It should arrive tomorrow. Super excited. Benchmarked the cost and felt that for the condition, fresh servicing, included 9315 bracelet, and solid name backing - that the value I was looking for was present.

I'll give an actual review once I get the watch, but have to say Bobs was pretty awesome to deal with. I had a number of questions about the condition, the bezel fading (i.e. how much is real vs. artifact of bright white background & flash), dirt under the plexiglass or shadowing, bracelet condition/stretch, etc.

They even agreed to size the bracelet to my wrist before I get it.

For what it's worth, strongly considered the following before deciding on this:

- Omega Speedy (I mean, c'mon)....fit like a dream on my ~7" wrist
- Bremont U2 Blue
- More entry level mechanical watches

Fingers crossed for an excellent ownership experience. Excited to join the forum as a owner-member.

Nice watch, you mention 9315 bracelet but the one in the pic is not a 9315.

I welcome the education as I actually tried to determine this and forgot to clarify (it didn't alter my perception of the deal). Please correct me where mistakes are made.

Thanks!

I love a little blue on my wrist and love the vintage aspects of the tophat plexi and other aspects.

By the way, bracelet says 93150. Is this what you believe to be correct based upon what you see in the pic? Seems to me like hte bracelet I was expecting.

Uhhhhhhhh, pictures. C'MON MAN!!!!!!!!!

Congrats. Great watch.
And Patrick is correct, that is not a 9315 folded link bracelet in the picture on that watch. I would think that a B35 serial would have a 9315 bracelet though.Mine is a B41 serial that was bought in 1992 and has one.

The 93150 is a Rolex bracelet, the Tudor bracelet replacement for the Tudor 9315 that came on the watch originally is 78400.
