Today I fondly utilized: The Pilot 3776 Burl. B nib!

And I used a Guacamole green ink that I accidentally mixed myself, but absolutely LOVE!!!

I bought my first fountain pen after stumbling upon this thread. After some research, I went with the Pilot Metropolitan thinking that it would be a good way to get my feet wet. I love it and will never go back to a ballpoint.

Oddly I see my pic in my post and your quote ... Photobucket is borderline unusable as of late. It will eventually show up.

Now you have flipped a big booger on us with the "endless night" comment. With a description like that it better write beautifully and tell time within plus or minus 6 seconds a day!

I like them a lot (minus the BP which is nothing special).

The fountain has a Med nib, which is flexible enough and very comfortable. The pencil, I love (0.7 mm).

When it comes to a ballpoint, NOTHING beats my Surefire Pen II.
