What would you do? 16570 vs 16030

Have an opportunity to trade my speedmaster reduced plus $3700CAD (2750 US) for a 1995' 16570.

The dial is black and has a bit of a smudge on the 2:00 mark. I do not have photos but it's about the size of the mark itself above and below the 2:00 marking (slight grey discolouration). He has offered to throw in a white dial that will be put in by a certified watchmaker. The white dial is missing a few second markings. (this trade is being done with a jeweller that sells pre owned rolexes)

I also have an opportunity to buy a 1987' 16030 serviced in 2015. Comes with service card and service booklet. He's asking for $3700CAD (2750 US)

Not sure what I should do.

I love the explorer II and it's size is nicer for my wrist, should I be worried about slight dial imperfections?

Torn on this one

Based on your information, I would think you can find better examples for less money. Nice 16570's are generally going in the $4K range, unless they have the 3186 movement--then they are higher.

I got him down $500 and made the trade.

Having just picked up a Tritium 16570 in Canada last week. Safe to say you can get a better deal than what is offered.

You will probably enjoy the Exp II more and the size is more modern so hold out for a better offer.
