Great pictures. Were you able to take the SD43 home since you purchased it or do you have to wait. Was there more than one to purchase.

Dang, that bezel to dial ratio on the SD43 is just crazy. In real life pics, the bezel overwhelms the dial.

I'm really noticing the knurled bezel on the SD, more than usual in these photos.

Then I noticed: the knurls exactly line up with the gaps between the second markers on the bezel and the dial. This may make a line in my perception of the bezel.

It will be interesting to see if all the SDs line up. My GMTIIc and many Subs I've seen do not line up. Hey, maybe the crown lines up now too!

No i wasn't able to take home, they told me they would prob. be the first store in NYC to have it and i was #2 or 3 on that list. Just started to collect watches and bought a nice 6263 Sigma Dial today as well in LA. soo BIG watch day for me committing to so much.

Were these "real" watches with movements in them or just show pieces? I'd love to know how you felt about the weight of the Sky D?

These were the exhibition models without movement, you can tell because they all have the second hand stopped in the same spot.

Good question, if you notice all the watches are frozen at the same time along with the same second hand position in all pictures. Must be dummy watches.

I'm not feeling the SD43 but that blue dial DJ41 is sweet!

Nice pics and impressions, thanks for sharing.

Blue SkyD continues to impress.

SD50 is the business. Looking forward to trying it on (or at least a side pic on a rounded wrist to see if the case "floats" too much).

I so wish that Daytona dial were available on an oyster bracelet. As much as I like the oysterflex on the YM, I'm not feeling it on the Daytona.

DJ41... looks so well done, but doesn't grab me. I don't know, it's almost so perfect that it's sterile to me? But for the vast majority of the public, it's the only watch one will need.

Cellini.... still dumbfounded by the non-moon phase moon phase. What's the point?

I need to see the SD43 next to a SD4K to see if there is an increase in dial size or whether they've taken the easy option and just expanded the bezel.

I previously done a side-by-side comparison between the two with Rolex rendering and seem like dial size are identical. Rolex font/logo size and hour/min/sec hands all the same except hands in newer SD seem wider

Correct, although its only the hour hand larger, making it same size as those seen in GMT's and DSSD.

I love the look of the new SD43. The bezel is really loud and compliments the size of the new watch.

The time on that SD43 is 10:10:31. Surely that's just the demo version of the watch?

Congrats but hope you didn't buy the one on your wrist as it's a demo model

No, the lugs fall within his wrist edges in the pic which will still have some distortion, so in real life it will be fine on him.

Can I get your wrist size. All of these watches look big on you. Thinking you are <6.5" range???

Great pictures, thanks for posting

Thank you for the pics, but I think having looked at them they have killed the idea of the SD43 for me - in all of the wrist shots here the watch is too big for the wearer.

I fear that I would be in the same boat, so I am now unwilling to buy unless I can try it on first.

I was there too last night.

Saw a lot of people sporting their BLNR's including my buddy.

The 2 models of highest interest were the Sky-Dweller and new Sea-Dweller for sure.

The new Sea-Dweller didn't do it for me. (pics of my SD4000 next to the new one). The Sky-Dweller SS in black dial, what a stunner!

I didn't see many handling the new Datejust 41 SS collection. IMO , while I do like the Datejust II, the DJ41 proportions are excellent. Slimmer on the wrist and bezel is less ostentatious.

(p.s. I was wearing my SD4000 and it flew under the radar in the crowd. More people kept conversing with my buddy and his BLNR (they were sporting BLNR's among other sports models).
