SD4K availability
I'm kicking myself for not buying one when the pay were readily available and selling for around 7300. Seems like most of the trusted sellers inventory has dried up or they are holding onto the, hoping to sell them later for more. This is how I feel

Yes , all Rolex AD's. They even had one at the Rolex AD at the airport . Judging by the stock they held they sold more gold with diamond watches. I would have purchased one but it just didn't sit on my wrist well. Seemed to sit very high. I did like the Matt / satin dial though

Wait for the hype to die down. They'll be available soon enough again on the secondary market, and for more reasonable prices.
I love the psychological effect when an item is discontinued. I owned an SD4K, but it didn't sing to me, so I sold it last fall with a lot of difficulty. It languished on the "For Sale" section for a while before I found a buyer. Now, of course, watch lovers gotta have one! It's the same darn model I had trouble selling. (And I have zero regrets.) Either you like it, or you don't. The availability (or lack thereof) doesn't change the look, feel, and weight of the SD4K. |

Going to be tough to get one for that price again in my humble opinion. I think the floor is close to 8k now.

Sales have dried up in the UK. Difficult to find one under 8K now.

In the entire European region it's currently hard to find a SD4K. Only a few are offered on C24 for around 10k€ (10,9k$) pre-loved and NOS for about 11k€ (11,9k$). Of course it's not guaranteed that they will sell for this price, but at least offered.
I'm super happy that I've coincidently spotted a pre-loved one in very nice condition just after the release of the SD43 at my local jeweler and was able to get it for a reasonable price. One month on the wrist and it wears just great: honeymoon. ;-) |

It's a peculiar watch. I always dismissed it in the AD with barely a glance. No interest at all. But last year I decided to get a mint second hand one, I can't even remember what made me buy it. Now I love it and wouldn't part with it, it's close to perfect.

Caused a quick shortage of the discontinued new watches sitting in the case at your local AD which in turn has driven up pricing. If you want a brand new SD4k, better act quick.

It's funny, in August, September, October last year, UK ADs had practically zero desirable pieces in their displays whilst the Brexit and price rise rumours circled around. You could easily find unpopular models like Exp2, SD4K, DSSD and the odd Exp1 - but never a SubC, BLNR or Hulk. Just goes to show that some people are more swayed by rarity and group behaviour than personal preference!

Awesome, last time I picked up the 116520 when it was discontinued from Ben Bridge also. Kim is first class and easy to talk to.
