Got a Black Monster!
Unfortunately my wife is not keen on watches. She was kind enough to buy me my Datejust as a wedding gift, but it looks like I'm waiting until a 5 or 10 year anniversary before I see another watch bought with our dollar, let alone a Rolex.
With that in mind, I knew the only way I could bring in a new watch was if I received it as a gift. I had been eying the Seiko Monsters for a while, and kind of suggested it to my brother as a good birthday gift idea. He went along with it, and looks like he may end up buying one for himself. It has only left my wrist to shower since he gave it to me on Saturday, and it looks like it's going to take up the most wrist time until I take my Datejust in for service. I immediately replaced the rubber strap with a black Nato (much more comfortable), and I could not be happier with the watch. It has gained about 20 seconds in 72 hours, which is nothing to complain about, but I may eventually have it slowed down a little. |

That Monster is great bang for the back. I was about to start a thread about Monsters on Natos as I was thinking of putting one on mine. You answered my question, I like it. Congrats.
