Guys!

Just been offered by my AD, Brand New Yact-Master (Model 16622) at uk price of £4000 - That's £840 off list price! Shall I go for it?

no dont do it as this model does not hold its value, yes it is a nice watch but thats it..

but at the end of the day its your choice...

I would have thought that was a very good deal, plenty of guys on this forum like that watch.

Go for it if it is the one you really want and are keeping it. But if you are buying only because it seems a good deal wait until you see the one you really want

Forget the resale value unless that is why you are purchasing it.

Buy what you love and you will not be unhappy with it regardless of what others say.

I agree and you are getting a lot off the retail price. if it is the watch that you wanted- than christmas has come early for you

There is a large supply of this watch on the pre-owned market.
Dealers are selling them for as low as £3200 and private sellers are going below £3k.
Based on that, I would get this watch on the used market, even though that is a fantastic deal if it is the latest serial numbers.

According to my AD, it is the M Serial with the RolexRolex engraving in the chapter ring.

That's a great deal.

My first two YM's were new & took a loss on both.

Third one I bought pre owned. It all depends on whether you believe it's going to be a keeper. But Rolex will always be bringing out new models to tempt you & if you have to get rid of one of your collection...

Tell the seller £3900 sounds better!

Buy the watch that you like. I wouldnt buy any watch just because it is $840 off of the list price. It is still $4000. And when I am spending that big amount I want to get what sings to my heart. you get my point?

Don't let anyone here influence your decision. It's your money, it's a beautiful watch, if it's what you want go for it. If resale is a factor just keep your money in the bank.
