Nice Coach, we traveled in a 30' C class with my boys to MX races around the country.
Owner of the Prevost next to us said they all RV's come with the same problem...When the Shitter is full you can never find a place to empty it! Great memories travelling around the back roads. |

I don't have one, but I want one.
I think that ultimately my dream would be to retire in one of those, travel the country just see the sights. My wife has other thoughts about the subject. But I'm a huge fan and the one you presented looks pretty amazing.

First off, nice coach!
My old man has had them my entire life. I'm 34 now, he still won't let me drive them. He's had: King's Highway Fleetwood - Southwind 37' Gulfstream 27' Cab Over Holiday Rambler - Endeavor Diesel Pusher (I believe 39') American Coach - American Tradition 40' American Coach - American Eagle 43' Newmar - Essex 45' Newmar - Mountain Aire 43' (Current) I thought he had a 2018 Foretravel IH45 on order, but he's since told me he's holding off. Rules of thumb for RVs, especially high end diesel pushers - 30% off MSRP is the standard. Do NOT accept anything less. Even more off is possible if it's a leftover. They depreciate like rocks. So when you see a 2015 Motorhome that retailed for $550,000 and it's for sale for $275k, that is a horrible deal. That motorhome can probably be had for $190k or less. I've noticed lately dealers have been marking up used prices to try and drive them up, don't be suckered. Not trying to sound like a know it all, but I've learned a lot of new motorhomers don't know these things I don't want anyone to get ripped off. They are extremely expensive to own, especially if you use them and maintain them properly (and you don't turn your own wrenches). You can skimp on maintenance to save on cost (such as chemicals for water and sewage tanks) but it will catch up to you. Good luck and enjoy your rig!!!! |

Sometimes, I can't believe the interiors in those beauties. It sounds like a great way to see the country.

Started out with our first Motorcoach when we were in our twenties. Now at 60 years old, still loving it. Our latest bus is our favorite.

Hearthside Grove in Petoskey is very nice. Been a few times. Mountain Falls by Lake Toxaway is very nice also, and close to home for us. Luminous has a lot of great RV Resorts out west also. Too many to name. Polson Motorcoach Resort in Montana is fantastic, overlooking Flathead Lake and close to Glacier National Park. Las Vegas Mototcoach Resort is one of our favorites. Enjoy your new coach. If your headed to the southeastern part of the country, pm me. We have full hook ups for you on our farm. Have fun.

Yup Heath side grove is where it's at! My wife and I fly up with our 3 year old son every October. Harbor springs, traverse, mackinac, Boyne, leggs inn, etc. what a place! My father hasn't used the lot in a couple of years so we miss out on that aspect.
MI can't remember the name of his place in toxaway. I've only been there once. Quote:

We are prepping for another trip, so some things are out of place. The Mrs. said no pics of bedroom and walk-in closets during the loading process.

Beautiful! We have never driven a Prevost but we hear they drive like a dream. So smooth so robust.
The salesman said you can have a glass of water on the table and it won't spill while driving I am really impressed with the attention to detail... I do see an Elegant lady or similar in our future. I think Marathon makes a good coach... Which after-bus companies do you think do a good job?

Out of interest do you require a special type of license to drive one of those?

In California if it's bigger than 40', one must get a Non-Comercial class. License and go thru a rigorous testing procedure. Fortunately for me, my Rig was 40'8" and the guy said, "It's within the range..."
So my class C will be sufficient. In other states they may have different vehicle codes

Our bus is 45' long and we tow a Suburban 2500 behind it. Adding in the length of the tow bar, we are approximately 68' long traveling down the road. Considering the bus alone is 60,000 lbs., need to stay focused in high traffic areas. Quote:

Haha, nothing bad - just long days baking on the asphalt washing them. Cleaning up trade-ins could be an eye-opening experience also.
My dad is actually still in RV sales, I grew up around them. Ben |
