Please help me identify this rolex

Hi guys thank you for reading my post. On my birthday I was given a rolex what I want to know is if it's authentic or not, and the what kind it is. On the back it's says 8385. The stamps seem to be fine and has no scrambled letters.

Thanks :)

Sorry, but, as a TRF rule, we do not discuss the specific flaws of fake watches.

I can't speak for this TRF specifically as I am new as well, but generally speaking similar forums focused on memorabilia and collectibles discourage divulging specifics on why/where items are counterfeit so as not to tip off fraudsters and/or those who troll sites like this looking to gain insight.

For whatever it's worth, I would take the watch to a local authorized Rolex dealer and have them inspect and advise.

There are several authorized dealers in/around the Chicagoland area. If you go to the Rolex site and look, they'll show and you can choose closest. A bit of a drive from Egypt though :-)

It's a Day Date. Congrats on the bday present. I'm just confused why someone would post on the internet if their gift was real or fake.

Please explain why you want to confirm if its real or fake?

Take it to a dealer but I'm sorry to say it seems fake to my eyes.

Then wear it and be happy. You don't need to ask on the internet. Just enjoy the wonderful gift.

Are you parents and friend in the watch business or collectors that know these watches VERY well? I'm in the watch repair business.

Frankly, this reply says a whole lot.
You already knew it's fake before you posted here.

If you are legit and truly not aware, you would comment about your concern for the person that thought so, so much about you to give you what is supposedly a white gold Rolex and was possibly robbed blind.

Uh-huh. Sure you did. Then you can have the watchmaker remove the case back, and post a picture of the movement next to a written note containing your username and today's date.

Actually, you can't, because the watch is fake - there are obvious flaws in every photo that you posted.

Whatever your scam is, we want no part of it.

Actually you could have done that yourself, look on Rolex.com and compare the two.

We all know that you have no interest in doing that
