We only use the heater for extreme conditions like if it gets into the 50's.

I'm with you. I was born and raised on the central CA coast. I moved away fifteen years ago to escape the rat race. I ended up in N-E KS. The hot humid summers finally got the best of me and I backtracked to Albuquerque. Dry heat is definitely manageable when compared to humidity. But as of seven years ago I am back where I started. A hot summer here is 80 and a cold winter is 40. I can hate a lot of things about CA, but not the mild weather. Of course, my parents moved to Palm Springs several years ago and that place is a special kind of hell in the summer. No thanks.

Pretty much the same as in London. Beautiful weather (even though I'm an autumn/winter man).
The sweaty nights are the only downside. |

Actually I always hear people complaining that it is too hot - even at 90 - and too much sun so they walk around with an umbrella . . . ? So why would you move over here to the Desert ? Than swap SoCal for NorCal And winters a 85 . . . I really started appreciating that 😉 My daughter was training this morning from 08:30 untill 11:30 for tennis She playing the Sectionals So if we head out now to play in Costa Mesa it's 85 and really cool out there for us Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk |

Weather-wise, it's heaven here in Albuquerque, but as they say, if you don't like the weather here, wait a minute.

To be 100% honest, I'd move back to The Q in a second if my wife would go for it. I kept the house there in hopes of occupying it again someday. But my wife also grew up here and loves the place. Oh well... I'd rather live here with her than in ABQ alone.
