15450 Cobalt Blue

In previous threads, others have stated that the new 15450 would reportedly have the same blue dial as the 15400; however, I couldn't help notice the difference in the new blue dial in comparison to the classic boutique blue. On the AP website, the stainless 15450 and 15451 are described as having a "cobalt blue Grand Tapisserie dial." The gold 15450 appears to have the classic boutique blue (and makes no mention of cobalt), which makes sense as it is boutique only whereas the stainless 15450 and 15451 are not.

Has anyone seen this new cobalt blue in the wild? Have any other ROs featured this in the past? Hard to get a sense in photos with different lighting, as seen below, and no AP dealers near me.

i haven't seen them in person but i would caution against any conclusion based on AP's promo photographs from this year. I complain about that all the time as none of them are true to life for the 2017 releases. Previous years models are more true to life generally. It would not surprise me if they were the same color. The 15450 on AP's site says cobalt blue in one description but later it just says blue dial.

case in point on the photography... this one has a photoshopped date window, I'm convinced about that. Just came across this one today. vs previous years model.

Called a couple boutiques today and they confirmed that the 15450ST/15451ST blue is darker than the 15400. One boutique was excellent and sent me a few pics of the 15451 blue (did not have a 15450 in stock) next to a 15400 blue.

Albeit they are not great quality, but they do show a stark contrast between the two.
