Thank you to all those that have commented! It's so great to "be in the club." The watch is performing incredibly accuracy-wise, only deviating +1 or +2 seconds per day, depending on how much I wear it/how I set it at night. I can't ask for better than that!

I'd like to keep it as pristine as possible for now - maybe once it has a few more marks and once I get more comfortable with wearing $10k+ on my wrist then I'll take it to the beach.

Thanks, John! My preferred gender is female and my preferred member of that gender was with me at the beach (you can see her feet in the pic I posted). The watch has, in fact, caught her eye.

From the picture I posted, it's understandable you'd say that. The 12 o'clock side of the case looks like it might be hanging off my wrist. It's the angle of the photograph, though. From a straight down perspective there's wrist on both sides of the case/bracelet.

The thing about the 15450 is that the case isn't the only thing that's been downsized. The bracelet is narrower, also, and tapers down to a very thin width by the time you get to the clasp. I'm 6'1" with broad shoulders, so the 15450 just didn't look right; too petite for my build. Overall proportions matter.

BTW, what part of BK do you live in? I'm in Park Slope!

I know this is bizarre, since I've been on watch forums for years and years now, but I've never measure my wrist exactly. I've always guessed something in the range of 6.5" based on comparing to what others post. I can wear a 40mm Sub and 42mm Speedmaster easily with no lug overhang, but when I put on a 42mm Offshore there is overhang. Hope that helps?

My wrist isn't big round, but the top is very flat, which matters a lot with the 15300!

Thank you, Chris! Read my post a little closer - I'm not a one watch guy... I'm a one watch per brand guy haha! So I most certainly will be getting more watches. I'm working towards a 3 watch collection, and with so many cool brands and watches out there, I don't want any "repeats".

My next watch will either be a 114060 or a black-dial DaytonaC. That takes care of the obligatory Rolex in my collection. What should the 3rd one be?

Thank you, Jack! The Offshore gets a lot of attention, especially with all the different variations, but a couple things work against it for me: the size (too big for my wrist) and the styling (too ostentatious as an every day watch and Genta himself was not a fan).

Definitely give the 15300 or the 15400 a shot! You can swap out the bracelet for rubber or leather and get a pseudo Offshore feel.
