Icon14 How fast does it take to change out a Rolls Royce 5 ton aircraft engine?

Under 2 minutes

Normally I dislike all Airbus but the 340 is sexy and the 380 looks great on approach and landing

And most favorite as private is all Dassault Falcon, especially 8x. Incredible

Falcons are sweet-handling airplanes.

A lot of manual work. It can't be done for 2 minutes and definetly takes a few hours.

Of course it doesn't take 2 minutes.

Who in his right mind would even think that?

I like the falcon series, heard they are great to fly. Never had the chance maybe one day I'll ask my friend at CAE if he knows any one on the falcons we can jump into.
Here's a fun video on the falcon 50

Space X was suppose to take delivery of the first 8X in North American, last week. They sold their 7X a month or so ago, and have been roughing it in a G650 for the last six months.

The Falcon 10 was my favorite. No life limited structural components and no maximum turbulence penetration speed - not that you'd want to run through thunderstorms at Mach .8+ but basically indestructible in the air.

Well, it is possible to replace a modern tank engine in 15 min and race car transmission in 8. Unfortunately for anyone who has started own way from iPhone and Tesla it's not a question, it's a kind of "well known fact" and "matter of service on spot".

Everyone would love a Global Express or Boeing Business Jet as a private jet, myself included, but delusions of mega-wealth aside, I'd settle for a possibly attainable Pilatus PC-12 NG for skipping around Europe's airports and airfields if I became reasonably wealthy one day.

You can probably find a twin jet for the price of one of those.

You could, such as a Phenom 100, but then you gotta think maintenance and cargo capacity and fuel and cost to operate. In the U.S., I'd give the edge to Embraer if only for cruising speed and maintenance facilities. But for Europe, Pilatus. It's just so capable.
