Help to decide between Milgauss or YM1

I have to choose between a YM1 16622 w/ grey dial also is a 2009 with the rolex, rolex, rolex or a milgauss w/ black dial and green glass. Both watches are in the same condition.

YM all the way. 1. It looks more like an original Milgauss than the current Milgauss and 2. What's the point of a Milgauss nowadays? The green crystal certainly is cool, but the watch's party trick is seriously obsolete in times of non ferrous materials and silicon.

I prefer the Milgauss, but in your case I recommend buying neither if the choice is not obvious to you.

Of the two options I would go YM. I prefer the size and look of the watch.

Honestly, to me it would depend on my current collection. In my case, I don't have a large collection. I have some more watches that I wear for formal occasions. I have a 14060m two-line Sub that I absolutely love. I wear it daily but I'm particularly found of giving it wrist time in the summer, at the pool, on the beach. So the Yacht Master would get almost zero wrist time. But I could see the Milgauss frequently making the cut on workdays. If this is to be your daily watch, I have to agree with expat - if you're not sure don't buy until you are.

I think Travis is onto function over form, which for me usually trumps all for me.

Do you need or want a date function on your watch?

i just think the ym bling is too nice. the dial and bezel in the sun is striking.

for the money you can get the same watch in the new airk king for around 5k.

Agreed...YM for me. Now, if you were talking about a Z-Blue...different story.

I personally never let anyone help me to decide on what watch to buy next. It is a personal decision only you can make.
I do wish though, that others would have helped me to decide on which girl to marry. Flipping them is bloody expensive

Just because I won't validate your watch purchase, doesn't mean you get to be impolite. #SAD

Don't give yourself too much credit as lord knows I don't need anyone to validate anything I purchase. #oblivious

With yiur line of thinking then, most watches purchased by millions of people is wasted on function that aren't necessary.
Is every Sub purchased used to go diving?
