Icon20 Worn serial numbers...

The serial numbers on my 5508 Submariner are really worn
I have pulled the band, even with a 20X loop the numbers are too faint to see. On the top (12 side) I can read: 9508 REGISTERED DESIGN
On the bottom it is too faint/worn for the first two numbers, the last three look like 622

Does anyone know of a better way to recover the numbers? I have worn the watch for almost 50 years, so I'm not surprised they are hard to read...
thanks

Try rubbing a pencil over the area? Might provide some contrast.

Put a piece of white paper over the numbers, the rub a pencil over the paper pushing into any detent of engraving

Any services over the years? Rolex will have records if you ever used them so should any independents you've used.
