Gmt 16760

Any idea why the 16760 hasn’t really lept up in price considering it’s not as common as other GMT references ........ is it the coke bezel that it originally came with....... or because it was slightly chunkier?
Cheers

It was made for a little over five years so it is not that uncommon. If you consider pre-1990 GMTs, both the matte 16750 and glossy 16750 were made in lesser quantities.

While nice examples of the 16760s bring a decent premium, finding one without dial, hand or case issues will not be easy. The acrylic crystal GMTs are still king for collectors.

I also believe the GMT 16700 is another sapphire model that encroaches upon the 16760 when it comes to collectors. Both are great models and I'm sure anyone collecting GMTs would love to have a nice 16760 and/or 16700 in their collection.

As a daily watch I would prefer the 16710. As a collector I prefer the 1675 or 16750 matte.

I think the 16760 HAS significantly increased in price over the last year or so. All GMTs have. I was recently on the hunt for any five-digit GMT (16710, 16700 and 16760), and I found that prices had shot up.

I’m currently hunting either a 16710 or 16760, as I understand they are the only GMTs that have an independently functioning GMT hand (aside from current production).

True?...

I've been keeping an eye on the major respected sellers. Prices on 16760's have jumped considerably very recently (within the past few months).

Correct.

Regarding the prices they have gone up pretty significantly for all the GMT references.

Thanks for all your input...... I’m lucky enough to own a ‘non date’
16760 that I’ve had for 2 years and bought it because I wanted a slightly
Chunky GMT, my wife wears a 16700,which she loves, but it surprised me that the 16760 is a similar price considering it was only produced for a few years.
Thanks again

As others have said, these are rising in price like all GMTs right now.

How about a pic of yours? Would love to see!

It’s 3264x2448 something or other in size?
Not 1250x1250!
I’ve posted pictures before but I might have done that on my computer.
