G as i said i do not doubt your good intentions and i have been long enough here to know how nice a guy you are and how credible/serious a member. But i believe there is some controversy in your statement here.
In effect, I still do not understand whether you have actually read this letter or heard it from a rep. I believe clarifying this will help on the conversation.

Good evening Yannis. Thank you for your comment. As you have seen during my contributions to TRF, friendship is something I deeply cherish and fight for. Decade long friends are unique and shall always be kept as the most precious treasure, not because of what they can do for you, but because of the trust and confidence that is put in a personal, unique relationship.

During many (trust me, MANY) gatherings, meals, drinks and get-togethers, I or we -as sometimes information is shared with a small group- are confided with details regarding this passion we have called watches.

Some of this details can be shared publicly, others with reserve and MANY more are to be kept between us. Trust is the foundation of these relationships and the cornerstone of unique friendships.

Because of this, I can not disclose anything else regarding the production announcement; as I will never betray the confidence deposited in me by friends.

I know that by doing this, some TRFers will continue to trust me -something that I am very grateful for-, some will doubt me and a few will come back to attack as if I had offended them in a way which I still can not understand...whatever the result, this is what happens when we participate in a society as diverse as TRF. Either way, my principles are non negotiable, sorry.

As always, I will do everything on my side to contribute to this fantastic community called The Rolex Forums.

Warmest regards,

G

Sorry if it's been mentioned, too tired to backread.

Justbluefish is talking about you on Youtube, Gerard:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZC6PDk2nG5Q

So is Marc Goldberg:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYeCfyJCK_4

This is the reason I've stopped at this :

and instead collect these now :

I just grew sick and tired of waiting, hunting, looking, begging to be sold a Rolex watch. Life's just too damned short.

With Seiko, any model you want is available all the time and everywhere (especially here in Asia). In multiple colors and variations too.

My attitude is, I already have the essential Rolex models that I ever wanted, so I'm done. Don't ever want to sell these, and hopefully with God's grace, I will never need to. If Rolex's imposed rarity or exclusivity or what have you drives the prices of my few collected pieces up, well and good.

But for those Rolex models I haven't got, I'm not going to pay one penny more than what I have already spent for these stainless steel watches. And I sure as heck won't be playing months or year-long waiting games.

If you're going to be that way Rolex, like that cocktease at the club, it's been nice knowin ya.

Hi from UK

Apologize for not reading this massive thread but, from my island (and my AD) I have it in writing that professional models will be on a drip feed from 2018...

No reason for "why" was given

Hope this helps someone and isn't too much of a repetitious post

What a great and entertaining thread! I have to take home message (at least for me):
- Go to Baselworld this year
- Forget Bitcoins, continue mining SS sport models

Once I've taken out of the email I received- mine and the senders ID and personal/congenial chat... I'd only have "what I've already posted" to share with you...

I guess, as with other chunks of this thread, that's as good as it gets - while protecting my own and the interests of people who deserved to remain anonymous and appreciated

Sorry if there's not enough closure in that

Paul...over 700 replies. I think starting a thread with naked pictures of yours wouldn't be enough

I think we’ve checked off every box in the thread already. I’m afraid if we try to add more to it, this could explode into a full bore internet storm - or as the video reminds us - we could go one itsy, bitsy, wafer thin mint too far...

A belated welcome to the forum.

Do tell - a little detour might be interesting.

In what way are RM owners unsuccessful at life?

FWIW, my AD laughed when he saw the thread and youtube video and mentioned how incredible the degree of speculation is regarding the Rolex watches with modern internet tools.

Pay no attention to the letter it is worthless if it exists. It might just be a notice to some AD´s that have complained about the low supply they have received. Actually we may have seen the effects from long ago. Does not change things, does not solve anything.
