Buying vacheron overseas chronograph. Thoughts?

Got offered this VC (I believe it is ref 49150) for USD 11000, it is from 2012,full set. Question:
1. Is it a good price?
2. I'm afraid it is due for serviced since it is a 6 yo watch. How much do I expect it to be serviced?

Any held if appreciated. Thanks!

This looks familiar. From Gloria Watch Blok M is it?

Service should cost you about Rp10 to Rp20jt depend if any parts need to be replaced. Generally, if it works well, it should be ok.

Do note VC isn't popular so it will be hard to resell again if you are a flipper. Try to nego for a buy-back clause with the shop.

Price looks pretty good for the chrono, £8K here is good. You sure you don't want the iconic bracelet?

I literally just sent my overseas Chrono in for service last week to Dallas Service Center. Routine service is ~$1300 and 6 to 8 weeks.

Hi guys thanks for replying finally pull the trigger to buy itu for USD 10,350, the watch itself has been serviced in 2014 through vc.

So i believe its a pretty good deal. Going to pick up the watch this afternoon.

Great watch, I admit I have not worn it as much as I’d like but I feel after it returns from service I will have a renewed love for it.

Love mine. I have the blue dial version. It's my favorite bracelet out there. Also have the rubber & leather straps to mix it up. Getting it for roughly half of retail is a good deal. On a side note, I did buy mine used, but it was still under the original warranty. About 6 months out of warranty, the minute counter started skipping. Sent it to VC for service and they did it for free even though it was out of warranty.

I think the Gen II chronographs are the best looking and great buys on the preowned market. With the craziness of PP 5711 and now the AP RO starting to hold resale prices, VC overseas might do the same.

It's nice to hear that service is relatively quick.

At $11K it's a "good" deal. Great? no. Poor? no...Under $10K USD would be great. Over $12K would be a poor deal in my eyes, unless it was just serviced and minty fresh.

Just received my VC back today from service looking great. Very excited to start wearing this one again. Thoroughly impressed with the turn around time on this thing. I shipped it to service center on 17 Feb 2018 and back in my hands 15 Mar 2018. Not even a full month for diagnosis and service. Standard service for ~$1375. They even set the time and date. A little disappointed it did not come back with a cool VC service pouch or travel case. Just a box and foam :(
