I had a 5spd tj sahara. One of the most fun vehicles I ever had. Only thing I actually hated was how insanely heavy the clutch was. Shifter should’ve said Eaton Fuller on it. In coming years after my kids get a bit older, a 4 door, hopefully diesel, wrangler may make its way into the mix. Congrats my friend!!!!

I drive a rather pristine 2005 and will stick with that. Enjoy your new Jeep.
Here’s some pics of I’m sure what will be available for yours soon if not already. |

Also it's a good idea to go into the jeep forums to see what people are and have done to their jeeps.
Lifting them over about 2 inches to put on larger tires can be a major undertaking on suspension changes and shocks etc. I think the pictures I included of the 2017s are like 4 inch lifts which is a fairly major deal that includes front end suspension parts, shocks and also bigger tires means changing out gearing in the rear end. Also I've read that the new LED lightbars the go on the top of the windshield and extend the whole distance like in the pics, make a lot of wind noise. |

Love it!! Congrats on making a great choice! As others have said, be careful! The mods and accessories get out of hand!
I really loved my last Jeep. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's a very nice Jeep, Richris1! Two Wranglers are sitting in my driveway right now, one with 100,00+ miles. They're been pretty reliable --- and LOTS of fun.

Congrats!! Great fun ahead!!!
Almost had the wife convinced to go with an Unlimited Rubicon Recon and she flipped to a JGC Trailhawk with the Hemi at the last minute. May be changing career paths here soon and if so I will be driving way less and I will probably look at a new Wrangler when my truck lease gets right side up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Holds value better than anything. I hated it when my truck was ever unavailable and it was a daily. So much Fun as a toy but they are getting pretty pricy for what they are and my family owns a Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram dealership. I’ll still keep one as often as I can. If you need to tow anything and expect it to be your only vehicle forget it. It couldnt pull my boat out of the shed much less down the road. But it still doesn’t matter it’s a Wrangler. Makes the worst vehicle list every year and they still fly off the lot.

I don’t spend much time at the dealership at all but there are never new late models left when the new year comes out. Wranglers remind me of when I had my Vette. Yea there are a lot of things to complain about but it is just a special thing. That would be a great business I think. The hardest part I think would be finding sources for those vehicles in good shape that you can get at a good price. Also banks don’t mind loaning money on them bc they hold their value so well. Pretty much the only vehicle that is on par with the residual value is a Tacoma. Everything else is about 10% less and most are more than that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
