If Rolex release a Red letter Submariner

Hi everyone. I will have the opportunity to pick up a SS43. Given the baselworld teasing/ speculation, Rolex may release a Submariner with red letter. Will you get the Submariner with red letter or Sea Dweller with red letter?

Get the SD43 now, almost no chance of a red sub, so better red than dead.

Why they do red sub. They did red dwellah

But my guess is if they do a red sub we’d all prefer for better fitting dimensions for the masses.

Buy the SD43 , it is an amazing piece , even if they add red to the sub , which I think will not happen

If they did there will be nothing filtering through to the AD's until later on in the year and even then there will be a min 5 year wait list.
Get the SD43 while you can.

It takes so little for Rolex to create a hyped model; add some red lettering. Frankly I couldn't care less about the text color on modern Rolex watches.

But the New Sea Dweller with the cyclops looks just like a Submariner...

SD43 is a little too big for my taste so I’d be more inclined to get the sub.

Go for the SD43. Bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. No one knows if Rolex is going to issue a red letter Submariner.

I don’t get it- making a decision based on the color of the font ? Why not decide whether you like a sub or a SD better and go from there. They are two different watches that wear differently.

There's a higher chance of a white SD43 than a red Sub this year IMHO, so if you like red lettering the moment to buy is right now.

I voted for the SD because there is no red lettered submariner.

57% voted for a choice that doesn't exist...on the theory that it might be releasedReally?

Why does this surprise you; the forum almost always goes with pack think instead of what logic dictates. Subs are just more popular due to pricing. The percentage is now over 63% for the non-existent. People voted two to one to buy a sub which would be damaged in saturation diving for that purpose versus a Tudor designed for the purpose. Sub VS SD will always result in Sub choice. Rolex vs Tudor will always result in Rolex choice.

The SD43 is an amazing watch. If it fits your wrist and you like it, I’d recommend it.

Plus that whole bird in hand thing.
