Saying Hello

Hi, thought I'd better say hello for the sake of good manners and to say that after having read a good number of threads, it made sense to sign up.
I'm not sure I can add anything to the forum, having seen the knowledge displayed, but I'm certainly going to learn.
I've posted on one thread already, which made reference to the RSC Kent. I visited there back in the 70's when I delivered my wife's watch for repair and mine some time after.
Mine is an Explorer 2 of '73 vintage, which cost me £138.00. My wife's with the same discount, cost £125.00.
Best wishes to all.

Lovely ExpII. I guess you are the original owner then. That's super.
Have you always been a 1 watch guy since you bought it?

Hi Rogdogg, yes, I've had it from new and have worn it every day and during rough manual work too, it's certainly a tough Rolex. I hadn't realised until recently that this model is quite rare and I can't believe the values that are being quoted, especially as I paid £138.00 for it.

Thanks to all for the friendly welcomes.
