Sorry for the silly question. But is it ok to....
Is it ok to wear my Hulk or Batman when sitting in the Sauna at the gym? I only do about 15-20 minutes but not sure if the heat would be bad for the watch. I don't feel comfortable locking it up in my locker as people still break into those things. Thanks!

These threads...... where is the facepalm emoji?
Yes, its fine. If it can go down 1000+ ft, some humidity isn't going to hurt it. |

From a mechanical perspective? Yes, it's okay. From a societal perspective? No, it's not okay.

I wouldn’t do it for various reasons, mostly being uncomfortable. But to answer your question with this old Rolex ad copy I’d say no problem.

Sitting in a sauna isn't much different than sitting at an outdoor café in Panama, or Biloxi Mississippi in the summertime.

I'd wear it before leaving it behind/in a locker.

Both are fine, but you’ll need the easy link and glidelock for your swelling wrist

I don't think The Hulk or The Batman could hang ... The superhero suits would probably get all sticky and messy. Ain't nobody got time "fo dat"
On a serious note, yeah man, you can wear both without issues but isn't the point of a sauna to sit back, let loose and relax ? Leave it at home! Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk

I don't have your particular watches, but my YM and OP swim and enjoy some steam or the sauna every other day.

why would you want to? Hot metal on your skin as you are dripping with sweat.
I don't even like wearing a towel in the sauna.

Wearing any metal can be dangerous in a sauna. The watch can get hotter and burn your skin.

I'm more of a steam room guy, but I've done it a ton. It'll be fine

Could the watch hack it? Sure.
Should you make it a habit? I'd say no as I don't take my watches in overly hot or cold environments. My reasoning is that it is extra wear and tear on the seals that could eventually lead to failure or increased service intervals. I like nice things and I take extra care with them to keep them in excellent condition. |

Pretty sure you're good to go considering the water depth rating.

I always go in the sauna with my watch, the watch never gets hotter than my skin temperature and no way it will ever burn you.

No worries! Don't feel bad or feel out of place for asking. The question not asked would be the dumb one :). It is totally safe!

Dude....I'm in NYC and train at UFC gym. Tons of people get their lockers broken into.

Wear mine in the sauna, steam room and hot tub everyday. Won't take a chance on someone breaking into my locker so always keep it on. Generally go straight from the gym to work. Been doing this for 30 years and never had an issue with a Rolex. Other watches yes, but not Rolex.

So good to see one of these threads fiiiiiinally pop up. The drudgery of investment and ending production of every Rolex model thread has been diving me crazy lately.
Your Rolex will be fine but make sure the crown is on securely. |
