Which Dial?

I'm really itching for the DD40 in platinum. I've narrowed it down to these two dials. Still can't decide so I thought I would get some opinions here. All thoughts/pics are welcome!

Some random guy named Ken recently got the Roman. I think he occasionally posts here as HL65 or something like that. Check out his IG page for some blurry photos that you can barely make out: https://www.instagram.com/thehighlander65/

I accidentally voted stick when I meant to vote Roman. I went based on the order of your photos and didn't read carefully. Mea culpa!

One benefit to stick markers/hands is they have lume. That's something to factor. But, the blue Roman markers look outstanding.

Ken's DD40:

The dial looks smooth AF with stick. Somehow the romans makes this specific dial look a bit messy - maybe its the color

Romans by a mile. Dial is was more dynamic. Normally I prefer lume but those Romans reflect surroundings amazingly

Such a tough call. I voted for the Romans b/c I really like how the dark blue pops off the dial.

I cannot vote on Tapatalk but put me in the Romans camp. The contrast of the dial and hands wins for me hands down. If they make sticks in the blue dial/market combo that would be bad ass.

All good points, guys. Thanks and yes, Ken is quite the enabler.

I'm leaning towards Romans but the stick is classic.

Romans for the DD, especially that blue against the ice blue background. Oh, and the quadrant dial is cool, too.

Leave the sticks for a DJ.

I have the sticks, but like the Romans. I wish the Roman had a solid color dial rather than the quadrant.

I have had my eye on a daydate in platinum too. For me it’s the deconstructed Roman numerals. The watch is stunning.

I vote stick, but this one is close for me.

I normally don’t like Roman dials at all, but this one works for me. Love the dial texture and the blue markers blend in nicely but still stand out enough.

The stick dial is great, love the simple stick markers with lume, but I don’t love the dial texture as much.

If thy combined the stick markers with the dial texture from the Roman, that would be ideal.

Am usually a stick guy, yet the Romans against that dial truly are incredible!

Romans... and i virtually NEVER EVER say Romans(!) in the past 30 years of watch collecting.
