Women’s Submariner?
What’s forum thought on this? Think it’s a possibility in the near future?
Tudor used to make a smaller Sub, Rolex’s closest competitor Omega has a smaller size Seamaster.......even Patek and AP have released smaller versions of their current Nautilus and Royal Oak. Why has Rolex not created something themselves? The 3235 is only 28.5mm, it’s not like they’d need to create a new movement for it. The smaller size (31, 28) DateJusts are already catered towards women, doesn’t it make sense for Rolex to eventually release something sporty for them as well? This just seems like an untapped market to me |

My wife would definitely be interested. She loves my hulk (keep your mind out of the gutter fellas), but it's too big for her wrists. If there were 34-36mm options, she'd be all over it.

I would imagine it’s due to such a small demographic. A company that has waiting lists, is not going to develop a product for ~1% mini-Sub buyer.

i would say it would be more popular than the 28mm YM which was discontinued as well as the 35mm also discontinued. With women's sports watches they are forced into a couple of options and thus don't buy. It think the market is small because its not catered to not because no one will buy it.

My wife has one of the smaller YM maybe the 31? It’s her favorite watch.

My wife has the 35. She bought it because it was the only option available in a small sports watch. She loves it none the less but i highly doubt she would have bought it if they had other options. The 37mm she preferred to the platinum dial 35, but it was too big.

I see enough women in Asia that wear Subs. I don't think they will modify their assembly production for small segments in non key markets.

Without the recent (?) trend for larger watches, Rolex may have created a Lady Submariner. But with women wearing larger watches these days Rolex may have tabled plans, if they ever had them, for a Lady Sub. If the market for women's watches was limited before, this trend toward larger watches has only limited it further. I don't see it happening until the trend reverses and stays reversed for several years.

Pretty sure there are not enough removable links if she wanted to wear one. That is just a guess though.

I do like the option of 35-37mm via the YM but prefer the Sub bezel. I think Tudor would be better positioned for a Ladies Sub. Just my $.02. |

I think it would be a great idea, but my wife would never wear it. I did buy her a small SS sport model that looked just like a Sub and ended up selling it because she never wore it. If I recall I believe is was a Zodiac or something like that. I eventually ordered her a Lady's SS/18k Yachtmaster with black MOP dial and she never wore that model either. She just likes her 26mm Lady DJ.

My wife wears a Tudor 79090 sub as her daily wearer .I don't think there is a need for a smaller sub , when your partner can rock the real thing

BTW - I think most ladies look better in an “oversized” watch than a man. A 40mm sports on a lady is unbelievably .............uh, well, .....................let’s go with “motivational”.

What, you don’t think those guys with 6.25” wrists wearing 44mm ROO look good?
