So, how do you actually buy a Rolex RRP?

I purchased a Submariner from my local AD in 2008, I will keep this watch for the rest of my life.

I wanted to buy a Tudor GMT the day it was released at Baselworld, I contacted 3 AD's and I picked my Tudor GMT up yesterday ( from a very helpful Tudor AD (high street store)but not a Rolex AD ) I have not heard a thing from the Rolex/Tudor AD's and don't expect too. Even though I showed interest in the Tudor, none of these invited me to a baselworld event. I will keep this watch for the rest of my life. in fact my wife loved the way the Tudor was sold and the brand and she decided to buy a nice Tudor watch too.

I also own a 5513 dated 1966, I will keep this watch the rest of my life.

Right, my question is, in 3 years time I will turn 50, I would love an LV (Hulk) to add to my collection but really do not want to purchase from a grey dealer. When I walk into an AD in the UK they look at me as if I am stupid asking to go on a waiting list for a HULK. can anybody give me some advice on how to get on a waiting list without having to purchase a PM from the AD's window, for me this is a huge purchase that I can do without the added cost of purchasing more. If i own a Hulk I will not be selling/flipping.
