My First Rolex And Need Input: Submariner

Hello Everyone,

I am looking to see if anyone has experienced what I am seeing and if I should just consider this normal... I purchased a "new" Submariner 116610LN from a very reputable and trusted buyer that came with warranty card from an authorized AD, box, papers, tags and stickers. I noticed the last line "Officially Certified" just looks off, the font type is consistent but take a look at the unevenness and how some letters look higher and lower.. Again, this could be totally fine given there are different types of dials out there, but want to see if anyone can comment.

Please take a look at the images i uploaded.

Thank you!

The base of “Officially Certified” looks wavy as well...

I just checked my SD43 and some old pics of my Submariner (same reference as yours) and the text looks perfect. I would recommend getting yours checked out by a professional. Good luck!

One easy tell is to grab a loop and a low angle bright light and look for the etched crown on the inside of the crystal at the 6 o’clock position. You can look at videos on you tube to see some of the differences that have been found. It is hard to find so keep at it working the angle of the light

Good replicas include this now so it’s not foolproof. The best way IMHO is still to pop the case and look at the movement.

The text on "CHRONOMETER" looks off as well... The H, R, N and M look short and raised slightly.
