The way this World Cup has went, I’m happy we went home on South Korea. It would have been inevitable to let Brazil get revenge and have a 10-1 party on us

Or worse a Mexican 10-1 win!

OK getting too carried away here... at least I'm sure Belgium can't lose to Japan... or can they?

Another penalty shoot out with 2 top keepers! Denmark played well but Croatia overall is a stronger team and should go through!

That was way too close for Croatia. Their keeper deserves De Gea's girlfriend.

Unbelievable save in the very end of extra time.

On the shootout, Denmark's keeper did what he could, to a very proud father watching in the stands, but the player's shots were almost all very poorly taken.

I was hoping Denmark would go through.
Looks like Croatia had the sharper not necessarily
stronger strikers ...

Totally agree ... Denmark’s penalty shots were lacking
to say the least .

Yes in terms of striker, but they are all about attaching midfielder and wingers and I would say their wingers didn’t step it up today, but credit to Denmark for their group defensive structure and of course schmeichel was brilliant!

Honestly, I think Denmark played a better and smarter game
today . Unfortunately they didn’t finish it off properly...

Some crazy results these days! Happy for Croatia. Schmeichel was a beast.

Honestly today's game was fantastic. It was a scoring frenzy, but 2 quick goals in the first four minutes, constant action the rest of the time, overtime, Modric missing a PK with 3 minutes to go AND a penalty shootout down to the very last man? What a ride!

100% agree! Croatia is a more talented team, so they pulled of the win despite playing not so well. This would have been over in 90' by a deficit of 2-3 goals if Croatia was on top of their game.

OTOH, Denmark played pretty good the entire time and utilized their talent to its potential.....just couldn't finish. They had an obvious plan and stuck to it.

Croatia got a little lucky getting by here, they need to regroup and refocus.
