MB&F's Pre-Owned Program - Rolex & Patek Next?

I've just read this on Hodinkee and thought it's a great idea.

https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/mb...-owned-program

Very much like Porsche, Ford, BMW, Apple Refurbishment and others, the big brands have cottoned on there's a market out there for pre-owned and they're getting in on the act.

Watches are guarantied authentic, serviced and then sold for the market rate, not inflated prices from grey dealers or flippers. What's everyone opinion and importantly, is this signalling a trend and companies like Rolex, Patek and Grand Seiko might be getting in later down the line?

Helps keep devaluation in check. Maybe the days of $170k Patek repeaters on the open / free market are over?
