I just noticed on replay the living legend that is Thierry Henry celebrating the first Belgian goal like a madman. If they get through, it’ll be weird seeing a French World Cup winner pulling for his own countries’ opposition.

Premier League boys are dominating this game, De Bruyne, Lukaku and Hazard for Belgium and Fellaini for Brazil.

Brazil are creating chances but don't look like they are going to score. Bring Firmino on, Willian has gone missing again which means Neymar has three men on him all the time. Push Coutinho to the other side and use Neymar as a decoy, they are too obvious now.

But on the break, De B and Hazard are the best in the business.

I know I know, but still.....it's a bit Un-Neymar like some of this easy grabs he gave up.

Speaking of d though, Meunier has played some really good man to man every time they match up.

OMG can somebody please card these clowns when they ask for the TV.

You can tell media stuff has gotten to Neymar though, he faked that foul, but he didn't make a spectacle. Good, much better to try and see some good stuff from him. He's actually playing completely normal now.

The VAR implementation really has been a joke this tournament.

I know they go down a bit theatrically but that is a stonewall penalty.

The one where Brazil's #9 flopped like a fish near the goal post? Not at all. Belgian defender got all ball, and the Brazilian took the opportunity with his momentum to flip forward off defender's shins and try to get the call. VAR confirmed there was nothing there.

At least, that's how I saw it, and I feel I'm unbiased. Would say it was if it was.

By the way, how strong must these goalkeeper's wrists be? They stop some smoking shots.

Nah not the Neymar one. Kompany on Jesus near the byline. Kompany got none of the ball and all of the man.

Ironically this is where all the diving around counts against the team. This ref is clearly very unimpressed by simulation. He might have given it to a few other teams in the tournament but I think he just assumed Jesus was emulating Greg Louganis.

Edit just noticed I think we’re talking about the same incident. Agree to disagree!

IF this score holds, it's going to get a lot more interesting at 70 on. Brazil will start taking more chances, all or nothing baby. I can't wait

Yea, we're talking about the same one. I'd have to see the replay again. It didn't look foul to me, but I'd have to watch once more.

Indeed. 2-1

Can they do it again or will Belgium launch the dagger of a counter-attack?

Augusto and Coutinho just had really good opportunities and didn't convert. Belgium is going to hold to win this, but partly thanks to bad luck on Brazil's part.

Here is an American suggestion, each team should get a time out, it would add to the suspense.

Taking Lukaku out is going all in on defense during this half. If Brazil score, Belgium won't have him in extra time. Ballsy move.

Douglas Costa should have been in the game all along. He's bringing the heat.

hahahah Neymar overran the ball and tried to cry foul.
