Bike trip round small Scottish island

Yesterday my cold had all but dried up & we hit the road with bikes in back of car for a weekend in a place called Port Appin- just south of fort Willian

Yesterday we took the passenger ferry across to Lismore & cycled the island. So peaceful & quiet. We took lunch across with us & where we stopped - one of the best views in world. The island is in the Scottish inner Hebrides & only a 2.5 mile drive from Glasgow

Hope everyone had a great weekend themselves

Lunch at the Pier House used to be a favourite of mine. Is it still there?

Great pics of your Scottish day. We once did a whisky pilgrimage that included Islay (about a 30 min. flight from Glasgow) and really enjoyed our time on the island, even though the water was always brown (from the peat).

Glad you enjoyed it - We did a week on Islay 2 years ago & got the best week of the summer

Did the laphroiac tour which was great & took the car across to Jura for the day. From where we stay - we’re 2 hours to ferry & an hour ish across on ferry. Need to go back next year for definite
