If the work it’s professionally done... why would i prefer a scratched watch over a perfectly shining one?
It’s a Daytona, no bevels, polished lugs. I’d polish it

After speaking with LAWW, they can add material to case and work it back down to get it back to factory spec. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would not polish the watch, I would polish the bracelet and replace the bezel. It'll feel like new.
If it were my scratches I would leave it alone but they are not and I would like to get it better looking condition.

If those imperfections, nicks, and scratches were yours, then I may consider leaving it alone. Since they were caused by someone else, I would 100% definitely polish.

Check out their Instagram page. Their work is amazing and I had them polish a 216570 for me a few months back and it looked perfect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I usually let Rolex evaluate / assess my watch, and tell me what needs to be done, since I don’t have any vintage model ...

Hey guys,
I spoke to Edvi back and forth by email. I ultimately decided to send the watch after receiving it from RSC to LAWW to do casework only. I called Rolex and received an email confirmation from RSC that I request no polishing of the case. I will send it to LA to get the case recut, especially the crown guard need some love. The bracelet will be done by RSC. edit: I recall speaking to an RSC rep in NY a few years back about an overhaul, and he said that the watch will be sent to Switzerland? Has that always been the case?

The lighting and rock tile color was too good to pass up as a background.

Why not have the RSC do their work, then for its next service Send it off to LAWW?

I would not polish. As soon as you do, it will look the same in a matter of weeks. Scratch magnets. Let it be.
