Multiple posts on this forum about Tudor GMT date issue changed my mind about buying it this summer. Doesn't make sense to purchase (and chase) a brand new watch that has a common defect, dealing with service and paying $4k for the privilege.
It's a beautiful piece, and I really wanted GMT watch for everyday wear as I actually have a need for it. But. must. resist. and use common sense. Tudor/Rolex will surely resolve whatever is causing this at manufacturing time rather than rely on RSC to fix it. I'll buy it then. I wish a sincere good luck to all who are experiencing it, and hope that fixed watch serves you a long time. Hopefully by the time I'm ready to buy the crazy demand subsides. |

In defense of this particular watch, it is only a little after 12 on the dial

pretty alarming 27 percent of those who bought one have an issue. i presume most of the dont know are just interested people who dont own a bb gmt.

I wouldn't worry about it. I have bought 2, one for my son and I liked it so much that I bought one for myself. Neither have the problem. If they did, they are covered by warranty. No biggie.
It's still a hard watch to get. I had to wait for both of them. Life is too short to worry about the 'What ifs." |

Interesting poll results.
What does unsure mean though? Either you have the problem or you dont |

And in one snap, you've captured a lot of the allure of the piece. The lugs. Brushed, polished and right sized. The dial. Matte with texture. The bezel. Sometimes Pepsi, sometimes, coke. I could go on...
It's still early for me with the GMT, just two weeks in, but working spot-on. No issues. There hasn't been a day I haven't worn it. Great watch.

It sure is a great looking watch, It appear that Tudor production will not be as large as Rolex so maybe down the road a little more collector demand. That "58" is a fine piece also.

So far the most perfect watch I’ve ever owned. One day I’ll have enough posts here to post a picture of it :)

Need to change my poll vote.
Happened after 8 weeks, but goes two full days ahead, between 1 and 2 am. No change around midnight. I just set it to 10pm and will try to watch what happens. No plans on staying up again tonight

My issue with Tudor, is the taller foot print, I was hoping for a Rolex type foot print.i bought from AD , about 3 years ago, I was able after 2 days to return, and purchase the Sub C Date. I traded my 5 digit, as part of the deal. I didn’t realize at that time, the changes for the better in my opinion on 6 digit, and the AD had stock on SS back then.
I found the Tudor, to be thick, I also didn’t like matching color scheme of the bezel to the stem socket. It was an ETA movement, and no issue, there. |

Unfortunately, I also have to revise my vote.
I bought 2 of these Tudor GMT watches. One for my son as a gift for an upcoming event. That watch has been stored in the safe since the end of June. After reading about these problems, I started to wind it and keep an eye on it. Sure enough, after about a week the date issue appeared. I took it back to my AD last week to have it repaired. I bought one for myself about a month ago. I have been wearing it almost exclusively. It has been working flawlessly until this morning. The date had skipped a day and a half overnight. I'm taking this watch back to my AD today for repair. That's 2 out of 2 with the problem. This was mine today. My son's last week. The stickers are still on it. |
