Need advice

Hi,

I plan to go to London early of October and I want to buy my first Rolex there.
My first desired model is Rolex Daytona 116500LN.
Alternatively, if really can’t find this model, my next priorities may be the following models;

1. Rolex Deepsea (D-Blue) 126660
2. Rolex GMT Master II 126710BLRO
3. Rolex GMT Master II 116710BLNR
4. Rolex Submariner Date 116610LV
5. Rolex Submariner Date 116610L

I realize that these models are in a very high demand and all the stores in London that I contacted through emai responsed ma that they do not have one of these models in stock.

May I ask if they always replied like this?
And if I go to their stores in person, will there be any possibilities for me to get one of the above models?

In addition, which stores in London that I should visit?

Thank you very much

Good luck!!

I would just try as many ADs as you can — in person. You never know. You could luck out somewhere — it happens.

Also if you travel - try ADs there as well. Might take a while but who knows.

There are watches out there. You just have to find them.

I see that you're in Thailand, maybe you can have better chances to get those watches there. I would go to a local AD, let them know I want one of those watches and ask when they think they would get them. Maybe pay a deposit or pay in full and wait until it arrives. My

London is probably amongst the worst places for trying to find one of those at retail from an AD.

You will however be able to find them all grey if you can stomach the mark-up !

That said, enjoy your trip - the big smoke truly is a fabulous city.

I think you'd pretty much have no chance with any of the through an AD. Grey dealers like Watchfinder in London will have them but you'll have to pay over retail

Don't wish to be a party pooper but perhaps you'd better change the purpose of your trip to taking in the local historical sights and perhaps other shopping. From what I have been reading here you stand very little chance of those models unless you got extremely lucky.

No chance, unless you buy 2 watches, talk to your wife/GF for one as well.

None of those are available in Cardiff. There’s only two AD’s there, lots of Two Tone stuff available, Yach Masters, and Milghuase.

There’s is a watch shop called Watches of Wales, they have a few GMT’s and Subs but for a mark up.

Pretty much.... I’m afraid that most AD’s will not view email or telephone enquiries as a “client”.. The bottom line is they don’t know you, and they have plenty of clients they do know, and these customers will be the ones the AD’s look after first..

I’ve been in my AD twice in the last couple of weeks, and both times, Chinese tourists came in with a list of the desirable models they’d like to buy, both times they were told there were none available and there were long waiting lists of current customers in waiting.

The AD told me it’s a daily occurrence...

If I was you I’d dust off your credit card and go grey. Honestly you have about as much chance of winning the lottery as you do walking into an AD cold and picking any of those up.

Really hard to find in Thailand as well.
The price here is higher than UK and I can not refund tax.

As far as I know the Rolex store at Heathrow does not have a waiting list, it is first come first served there. That would be your biggest hope if you want to buy it from an AD.

Could you please advise which AD and the salesperson are you referring to? Can I get there and meet him/her and referring your name?. I believe that going to the store, meet the salesperson and refers their current customer may increase the possibility for me to get the watch.

The sub 5% chance, the others between 0% an 1% chance.

Unless you’re prepared to buy other things in the shop.

you cant be serious. If so then you are going to have an awful trip thinking those are going to be available.

Why not try to buy them in Thailand? You will have more success at a local AD and building a long term relationship

even the sub is zero in London for a walk in tourist. The two big AD groups with most of the AD's in the city wont sell them to a walk in tourist for sure as they have big waiting lists. The rest of the AD's either have a list or dont do lists and only sell them to established customers. 5% maybe outside London.

I agree if you also buy a bunch of PM watches they might produce one.

I have no idea, I have never been to Heathrow! When I had business in London I always flew into London City airport and took the DLR to where I had to go.

If you have a look at the terminal maps here:
https://www.heathrow.com/airport-gui...w/airport-maps
There seems to be a Rolex "shop" at terminal 2, 4 and 5. Departures of course, I would be surprised if there is anything of interest at the arrival.

I was in Heathrow less than a month ago and did not see any of the items on your list. However, there was a large selection of DJ models.

Good luck in the city.
