Tudor watch

Friends: I have just received as a gift a second hand Tudor Oyster Prince Day Date Rotor Self Winding watch. What does "Prince" stand for? It has a number: 94510. Does it tell you something about the probable year in which it was made? Thank you for your help,
Roberto

It doesn't really mean anything.. Prince is a Tudor model identifier and covers a number of years..

You can check your serial number against Bagels serial number chart over in our Reference Library to get an approximate year.. You have to take the bracelet off and find the serial number on the side of the case...

Not sure of the years of production of that reference but I'll try to find out. But as Larry [Tools] says, you can find the serial number and approximate the date.
Please post a pic if you can. I have a 1970 Tudor Date + Day and realy enjoy it.
Welcome to TRF!

You may refer to the following link to have an estimate of the production year against the serial number.

Normally, reference no. that consists with 5 digits without a slash "/" starting with 9 like the one you have (ref : 94510), I would guess it was probably produced in 1980's.

Thank you all for your help. My Tudor is SS , crown with Rolex coronet, on the back also, with the engraving "Original Oyster Case By Rolex Geneva". The bracelet is stamped "Tudor Watch Co., Ltd. Geneva-Switzerland" . On the clasp you can see the Tudor shield. I will try to send photographs.

According to my database, this serial number of 249260 corresponds to the year of production in around 1988.
