IWC Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar IW3921

I'm having an issue with my IWC Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Chronograph with which I'm hoping some good folks here can help me. I just acquired this watch a few weeks ago and just recently used the chronograph function. What I've noticed is that the minute hand is not indicating the correct elapsed time. For instance, at 30 seconds elapsed time, the minute hand is indicating 1 minute elapsed time. So, if you're not watching the chronograph, it's impossible to tell if 30 seconds or 1 minute 30 seconds has elapsed. This offset continues to sbe apparent as the chronoagraph runs. Its almost as if the minute hand is running fast.
At any rate, I've contacted IWC and they've stated that the chronograph function on this watch is part of a continuous train and it's possible that the second and minutes will get out of sync. They've offered to offset the minute hand to the left of the 12 o'clock position so it'll indicate properly at least to start. This seems kind of lame to me and doesn't really fix the problem. The watch was not inexpensive. Does it seem unreasonable to expect the chronograph function to indicate properly? I've told IWC that I want the watch fixed properly but all I've heard from them so far is crickets.

Sounds like a pretty poor response...I would escalate back to IWC. The watch should work flawlessly (assuming it was bought new from them/an AD?)
