Wear the watch lower on the wrist, I think it'll look better. Small wrist here too, I think it looks fine on me when worn lower.

Judging the fit from ‘wrist shot’ is never accurate, can you believe the wrists and the watch are the same in this two pictures? this is the 39mm Explorer on my 6.2inch wrist.
Maybe wear it and look into the mirror or ask someone to take a picture of you wearing it.

You’re right, it is to judge 100% based on certain wrist shots, however, as pointed out earlier in this thread - I think wrist shape has a lot to do with how a watch will ultimately look on you.

Perfect example with you. You have a really slender wrist, small in size, but that Explorer looks ok on you.

To big and if you need to ask then you already have your answer. That little voice never goes away. A watch has to look good from the start from top down as from the side in the mirror. If not you will always keek doubting the size and eventualy flip it.

I have '7inch+ and was offered the sky dweller black dial last month by my AD. I passed as it was to big for this kind of watch. If it was a diver/true sport maybe. I have a SD43 and have no problem with the size but the sky dweller just looked to big on me. The sky dweller is a more dressy/elegant watch so its a kind strange to me why Rolex didnt make it in the standard 40mm.

As for wrist size. Its not (only) the size but the surface. One can have a '6inch wrist but with a flat 55mm surface. So that explains why watches can look so different on the same wrist size. Try putting your watch on the downside on your wrist. It will look totaly different. Even my SD43 looks small when i do that:)

I think it fits and looks great. You just need to get used to wearing a visually larger watch and all will be good. I think that there is room in a collection for large and small watches and everything in between.

It looks a wee bit oversized, it might fit better if you put it on a leather strap, if that is possible. I tried one on in leather and it felt really comfortable. If you like it, and it is a beauty, then good on ya.

It's pushing the boundary. I like to see bracelet on each side of the lugs when determining if a watch "fits" or not. The lugs are right to the edges of your wrist with only a tiny amount of bracelet visible. I think it's doable but you are at the limit. Just my humble opinion

Yes they can differ. I have slightly less then 7" wrist but very flat. An almost flat 2.5" part so lot's of watches work. Seen from the side my wrist are very small so a very thick watch would like a bit off.

My dad on the other hand has quite large wrist but almost perfectly round which makes for quite a different fit

It is hard to tell as wrist shots, generally, never look as they do in person. I tend to agree that the first bracelet link, not end link, should be slightly visible from the top view. My opinion, the watch looks large and borderline too big. How's the side profile view? Flat and hugs the wrist; perfect.

Love this watch but for some reason they look big on most people. Maybe because it’s s dressier watch than a sport watch. I don’t know.

I think size has to do with the watch design. Bigger may work with some designs on some people,, but in your case, with the lugs extending past the wrist, the SkyD looks a bit too big, IMO.

I wanted the Skydweller is SS when I first saw it, but then I realized it’s just too big for my 6.75 “ wrist to be comfortable.

It's simply a matter of style. If I were you, I'd be wearing 36mm...heck, I'm 6'2" 180lbs with a 7" wrist, and I wear 36mm myself.

It looks bigger than I’d like on my wrist, but my wrist is 7 3/4. My Sky-Dweller seems a bit big on me but it’s one of my favourites and I love wearing it. I also have a 36 mm Datejust and it is too small for me, but I love it and I love wearing it.

If you love wearing it keep it, it’s a great watch, and I am sure no one else will really care and few people will even notice what size it is.
