15407 successor
Haven’t seen much discussion as I believe most boutiques are not accepting orders for the 15407. Has a successor been named yet ?

I’d be surprised if AP replace the 15407 variant anytime soon!
May be wrong but we have only just seen the RO range fully move over to the 41mm case (excluding extra thin) so can’t see the case/bracelet being update (minor tweaks maybe) Then the cal 3132 only this year has seen AP house this is two new models which again tells me they are set on keeping this production of this cal movement going. What I can say is given recent increase in demand interested buyers have increased but then production is now spread over four variants opposed to two so supply of each individual model has decreased. The only thing I’ve seen people wish for is the 15407 to be produced in a ceramic variant.... Is that on the horizon... I’ll ask AP when I’m there a week on Tuesday |

I have a feeling them "not taking orders" for most people is more due to the rarity of the model and most boutiques only would give someone a legitimate slot if they were a top tier customer. Wait times have slipped to 4-5 years since they are now using the movement for two additional models and from previous chats with several boutiques, the only way to get bumped up on that timeline is to make some major new acquisitions or go to the grey market which has caught on quickly to this openworked demand and rarity.

Can’t rule that part out, I’m sure there are other factors attribute to the timepiece being difficult to obtain. Though at this point, I think it would be more likely to get a 5711.
To clarify I check my email and they stated AP production is done for that reference. Last edited by Gh0st0; 22 October 2018 at 02:06 AM.. Reason: Updating |

I don't think so, it was just released in 2017, it is in very high demand.

My bad, but still it is a fairly new watch, I hope to stay in production for alot of years so that one day I can get my hands on one (it is my grail AP). Right now no single dealer or boutique is accepting my name on the list which is quite frustrating and I refuse to pay these huge premiums currently being requested by grey dealers. |

As said above I really can’t see it being dropped yet, maybe some minor update or even a IP or CE config LE but other then that I feel it’s got a good few more years ahead. Only speaking from my perspective and I’m UK based but I’m yet to see or hear of a 15407st being sold by an AD, it’s not listed as a boutique only piece but appears none are filtering down to AD’s. And totally get the frustration but this is a wide spread issue at the moment, I was quite lucky with mine. |

I can't recalled when the previous 15305 series of open works was released but it should take about the same time for the 15407 to expire /discontinued.Two years is too short for them to launch a new movement so soon.
