Tudor Oysterdate California Dial with Race Car Logo
Anyone here seen one of these before. It’s 34mm case and 20mm lug width. It has the regular Tudor oyster case back and Rolex crown. Did a quick google search and came up empty. I think it looks cool..

Thanks good to know. Came across it during lunch at a local watch repair shop. Thought about making an offer but I came up empty on my google search so decided to pass. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I've seen these before; a set of three in fact, with red, green and yellow dials.

Fake dial, fake hands, the case is most likely also fake.

You guys really think it's fake? Robert Maron sold one similar: http://robertmaron.com/product.php?p...1&cat=265&sold

The Tudor shield was not used until around 1970. Not that it is the only thing to react on but it is just a very simple thing that makes this impossible.

Similar car logo here. This is Dickson Tai's site, and he doesn't deal in fakes.

Edit: And he also lists them as redone. Quote:

Says me. I've bought several watches from him in person. He has a very good reputation.

I was just adding one more example of this car logo, and noting that Dickson doesn't deal in fakes. I don't doubt the dials are redone (Dickson says so, as you later pointed out), I'm mainly interested in what this recurring car logo means, as it's quite a mystery.

The cars are Indycars it appears. I have seen one pop up for sale here locally but it was like the OP’s example.
Repainted dial for sure. Not sure what the painters tie to racing is. Interesting story for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
