Trade Rolex 116520 for AP Royal Oak 14790 blue?

Since my 5167 has become a staple part of my collection it has pushed a few out. I now find myself being drawn back in the direction of the Royal Oak. More specifically a 36mm RO, a 14790 with blue dial.

Just wondering if anyone on here with bot a 5167 PP and a AP 14790 could maybe take a side by side shot?

Heres my 116520 beside my 5167.

Thanks

Sizewise it wears bigger so might be a good choice for you, but I prefer the 39mm 15300 size and design.

It's a wonderful piece!

Had one and the size was perfect! Had a 5711 and gave that up for a 3800. Also had a 5065 which was a nicer size than the 5167, imo. Perhaps I'm into the mid-size pieces.

The RO is a beautiful watch but not sure I'd let the Daytona go to get one.

Well, I did it. Chunk of cash my way and a beautiful 14790 from 2008 with a complete AP service in June last year to compliment my 5167.

Since receiving the Royal Oak the Aquanaut has been relegated to the safe!

Not missed the Daytona one bit!

Speaking for myself not a fan of any of the RO range good movements but just dont like the style. Not a huge fan of the modern Daytona but If I owned one would not change for any RO.

Those 2 are my grail
I’m thinking to flip my Daytona 116500 for the Patek Philippe Aquanaut. I think it’s the perfect daily watch to own

I've always loved the Royal Oaks but a few years ago I fell massively for the Rolex Oysters, sold what I had and ended up with many Rolex. Decided now there is only one Rolex for me the Explorer. That prompted a reshuffle and I am very happy to have a bit of variety now. Some say its the spice of life

Great watches. I think a VC Overseas would fit in nicely.
