I quite like some of these. I’d always previously ruled it out as the thought of modding a Rolex frightened me! Largely due to resale. But I’m more relaxed now and wouldn’t rule it out.

That said, I’d rather have them customise a Rolex to my own design, and remove the Rolex logo and wording, and replace t with my own.

I don't like those customized watches and espesially not because of the "extra" brandname on the dial.

I wish Rolex would do more things like this in house. I guess that is what Tudor is for.

Yep...couldn’t agree more Peter...not only does it not look good, but what happens when you give it a good whack and chip that dlc coating ? And I don’t want to hear it can’t be chipped...it absolutely can.

Good idea until Rolex crushes that abomination with a hydraulic press when you send it in for a service.

Some of their items look cool but it voids the warranty and you end up paying more for a watch that is now worth less. As others have mentioned, it would be cool if Rolex did a matte watch but I think they realize they've got things working well then way they are.

Looks like I’m late to the party, I think it is pretty cool you can make the head of the watch including hand color lime color and everything in between your own colors I think it would be cool if you could put your own words on the dial but hey, at first I thought it was fake watches.

Been around a while now. Some of their creations are tasteful. Do not buy new...resale will be an issue. If you like modded Rolex especially for the vintage fans, check these guys out. I know this guy, he is a good guy and a WIS. He is a perfectionist and great WS.

I'm not a DLC fan. That said, I really like the Explorer Dial Sub in their Vintage line. Unfortunately, it is well over twice the cost of a new 114060, and therefore not a good deal in my opinion. Especially when you consider that it voids any warranty with it. If Rolex comes out with a 3-6-9 dial for their Sub in the next few years, I will gladly put my name on a list or two...

One question I would have about Blaken, or any other brand out there that mods Rolex, is if their dials are technically fakes? Blaken states "Hand made vintage face" under dial description, and they've added their name to it, so is that technically a fake dial since Rolex doesn't condone this practice? Maybe not a fake watch, but I feel like they are asking too much for a watch that is not a "real Rolex".

Obviously some people like them as the company has been around for a bit. I like the original. Financially, it just doesn’t make sense to me. As someone said above, you end up paying more for a watch that’s worth less. And there are so many different watch brands doing edgy things already, why not just buy a brand other than Rolex to begin with.

Haha it is fun to make your own, the other day I was online making my own rolls Royce lol. If I had throw away money I would build from from blaken. 8times stronger than Rolex steel 5 year warranty etc.

"Release the Blaken!" Oh wait, wrong movie....

Some interesting work but if I were to make a FrankenRolex, I'd have it done myself so it was a one-off design (and reversible).

Not a fan of Bamford, Titan Black, Blaken etc. Never will be a fan of them - Can't see why I'm paying way above MSRP for someone who took the watch apart and painted it black. Fill me in on this.
