Anyone know a Rolex AD with Submariner Green Face/Bezel?

Hi,

Looking to buy a new Submariner with Green Face & Bezel. However, striking out with ADs in Washington DC, Atlanta, and Charlotte. I know Rolex is going into their holiday exodus and 2019 models won't ship until February. Looking to purchase on a tight timeline.

Thanks in advance!

Brad

Based on your timeline you’ll need to buy grey market or second hand. There is an extensive waiting list world-wide so you won’t find an AD with one in stock (or if they do it will be for a matter of hours). There are thousands for sale on the grey/second market so I’d look there and see what you can get price wise

Look at TRF trusted sellers, you wont get one at an AD for a long, long time. One of the most sought after references of all time. If you want one you will have to pay a premium unless you have a great relationaship with an AD!

I suggest you research more on the subject. I thinks you'll learn a lot about current Rolex market situation for consumers.

I doubt that very much.

Go used, or go grey.

I also want to know about that AD, willing to pay in full up front if they can sort me one in 2 weeks without me showing my face to their store. Thank you

I just walked into a AD yesterday with no prior business looking for Pepsi or Daytona, I was offered the “green machine” from the back safe, after thinking about it for few minutes could not refuse it.

OP everyone is just trolling you. Reality is that every AD in the world is dry and you won’t find a Hulk anywhere including in Europe. As others have stated, grey market is only option

Are they authorized dealer? If so, it might be on display only and/or it already sold. I really hope you able to get one but without any previous relationship with any AD, your chances are very slim to none. Good luck anyway friend.

Correction: It’s the only reliable option. Undoubtedly there are ADs out there with Hulks to sell, even to randos off the street. However those ADs are probably few and far between and the odds of finding one quickly are very slim. It would certainly be faster and easier to find the watch through a grey dealer, if he is willing to pay the premium for the convenience.

If you go into an AD and let them know you’ll spend 100k on PM and other jewelry, you’ll be surprised how fast they may be able to produce a hulk for you.

The grey that I went to a few days ago had 5 or 6. No older steel bezel LVs but plenty of Ceramic Green Subs. I know that this doesn't help you as it is in Japan. I didn't look at the prices but I reckon they were way over MSRP.

Like Speed said. Grey or trusted seller here. Trusted seller you could have it on your wrist in 48 hours.

no AD will sell you a hulk from a cold call. if you want one you'll have to go grey

OP,

The watch you described is reference number 116610LV, or commonly called a Hulk. If you are on a super tight timeline your best route is to follow the advice of those above: 1) Go trusted sellers on here or 2) find a grey market dealer. You’re going to pay over MSRP if you don’t have an Authorized Dealer (AD) that you have a relationship with. CalH22a brought up a good point, if you do spend a lot of money at an AD they usually can get you a hard to find watch but it’s more cost effective to just pay over MSRP from a trusted seller.

Good luck.

Times have changed massively.

Spend the going rate and go grey on this one, you won’t stumble across one in Europe either unless you’re amazingly lucky.

Good luck anyway

18 months ago and that would have been just about right. So you will probably have an easier time sourcing a flux capacitor for a flying DeLorean than getting a hulk today from an AD.

Maybe 2 weeks was a bit of an exaggeration.

I called an AD on the West coast in September to inquire on a 116610lv. Was told no, hard to get, big wait list, not taking anymore names, etc.

Kept in touch with a particular sales associate at the store since then. On December 14th I sent an email asking if it was possible to get one. Received a response the same day saying probably not, hard to come by and any that come in are all spoken for. That was on a Friday, on Monday (December 17th) I received an email from the AD asking "hypothetically" if one became available before Christmas would I be ready to buy? My obvious reply was YES!. The next morning I got a call and was offered this watch. Made the wire transfer Wednesday, received the watch Thursday morning.

So start to finish it was a couple months but since I sent the follow up on the 14th I had the watch in 6 days.

Have never been in the store nor do I know any of the sales associates or the owner personally.

Just got lucky I guess
