Search for my next Rolex begins today!
Back in 2016, I bought my first Rolex, a Submariner ND. Never got tire of watching it and gave me a lot of good fortune.
The time has come and I sold it today :) On to my next Rolex! I would love to get a Daytona SS but I don’t want to wait another five years... So now I get to have fun doing start reviewing and deciding which Rolex I want!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

What else did you have in mind besides the Daytona?

Why did you sell it if it gave you good fortune?

Why didn’t you keep it for the trade?

It gave you good fortune?
You should’ve sold it to me! I could use some funding for the Daytona C on the secondary market. |

Is time to move on!
Been pretty fortunate since I bought this watch. I will miss it in a way but I been thinking other watch! Almost bought my second rolex back in December 2017, it was the DJ41 rodium with diamond index. Love the watch and would make a great second watch (subc nd and dj41). I have since change my mind, keeping two rolex would be a lot of capital. Not at this point in life. Perhaps later. Sticking with the one watch approach, I sold my Subc and now I get to buy another! So excited right now. Daytona SS would be the idea one watch rolex but I don’t really want to wait for a long time. I have been on the waiting list since 2016 December.... If Basel world does come out with a new sub, I would be all over it! GMT is kind of on my list, but the Pepsi doesn’t come with oyster band.... Lastly, deep down, I love the skydweller in SS!! But I can’t see this as a one watch rolex.... so this will likely be a second rolex only if my business do well. So here I am, going no way~~. But hey, I got my cash and have nothing but time! Now I get to call all the AD and find myself a deal ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

even if you decide on what you want the wait may be long for something not too high in demand in this market we have now

I went to my local AD yesterday and the case was almost completely barren. There was a single rose gold Day Date and 5 ladies Datejusts. Best of luck, I hope you don’t have to wait too long.

I saw z-blue and air king at North County Royal Maui (AD) on Friday. Not a lot, but something.
OP - you might consider EXP2 42mm as your next watch. Lovely, easy to get below MSRP through grey dealer or private sale. Polar and Black, both awesome! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You should've kept it if it gave you good fortune. All of us remember our first timepiece =)

This is not 2016 anymore. Should’ve kept it until you found another one.

Come on, the guy merely sold a watch and is now looking for a different one. As for the “good fortune” bit, not sure if the OP can directly attribute said fortune to the SubC.

I can't remember the last time I sold a watch without knowing what I was getting next. Seems a bit risky esp in this market.
