You’d be crazy to wear your Exp II outside of your home unless it’s bubble wrapped

Thanks!! And besides the dial color goes so well with the pool color; how could I not wear it. Actually when I have lesser watches on I had no problem leaving them in the locker but this is on a slightly different level.

Wore it to the prom, trained and raced bicycles with it, showered, swam, worked out at the gym, wore suits and jeans with it at work. Vacationed with it, been through airport security with it. Wore it restoring houses, building kayaks, mowing lawns, painting houses and walking dogs. Has seen temperatures from -10° to 120° F. Will most likely be buried with it.

I think your Explorer II will be fine going for a run then to work.
One of my fav Exploer references. Those fetch quite a bit of $$$ today! What drew you to it as a high-schooler?

Had wanted a Rolex since I was ~15, used to put the ads on my bedroom walls. When I started working at 17, first thing I did was go to Moses Jewelers Jewelers at the Clearview Mall in Butler PA. It came down to the White Explorer II or the Silver Stick Jubilee Datejust they were both $1360. Ultimately went with the Explorer II because it reminded me of snow on a sunny day. The 1985 Richard Leakey ad also helped.

Pretty sure no issue running with it but I've tried it with my sub and did not feel comfortable on my wrist.

I hate running with anything more than clothing on, but I did take my 16570 running once. It was fine. It's a tool watch; nothing fragile.

Thanks for the anecdote! The polar is certainly my fav Rolex sports model. Bet you didn’t know yours was going to eventually turn cream at the time of purchase

I gave up running when I retired from the USAF. However i would certainly run with my Explorer II if I were to start running again. I did PT and worked on jets (F-15s) for 22 years in every weather condition there is wearing a Seiko. That watch is still working fine. I'm sure a Rolex can stand up to jog down the road.

No! Don't run with your incredibly fragile Rolex on your wrist! I'm sure that stainless steel will simply shatter with the massive G forces generated by your stride as you run. Even more scary is what those forces will do to the dainty, quaint mechanical timing mechanism inside that poor excuse for a case.

Uh, what are you thinking here? A Rolex is tough cookie. I think you should triple your running while wearing you great exp II.
