What the hell does any of this have to do with differences between American and British universities?

A fine (Which is given to the mascot) should do it.

No real reason to surprise a non player with a tackle. This mascot may not have been hurt bad but the next one might be and tackling a mascot is a cheap move anyway.

P.S. When we are done arguing about UK V. U.S. Schools. Will we move on to Citizen V. Subject? I hope not.

Really? Arrested? If you watch the whole video I guess you can argue they should file charges against the mascot too.

A bigger question is how this incident resulted in an argument about higher education.

Saints receiver got mugged, concussed, costed us a Super Bowl and nothing was done, so Jamal will fit perfect in the Rams game plan

You do realize the thread is about an incident in the NFL, not a collegiate athlete? I'm guessing you got passed over for a promotion by an American College educated frat boy, take a tea break and relax.

Get over it. You’re making Pats fans out to be snowflakes. If you’re not careful, they’ll make you turn in your seasons tickets.
Kids no longer, pro ball players make good money and have responsibility to represent their franchise and the sport. If they're allowed to get away with unwantedly hurting people it hurts the sport and the team. I'm pretty certain if I came out of nowhere and jumped on anyone to take them to the ground there would be hell to pay. Are you certain you aren't letting this go due to animosity towards the Pats?

If anyone would bother to watch the YouTube in context then you’d see the Pats mascot actually took it fine and in the spirit of the event they were attending.

But, then again, he is an Oxford don

This thread can’t be serious. This was a joke.

Also, I find it rich that Pats fans are worried about something like this. I think they should worry about their players not murdering anyone this offseason and/or staying off the drugs.

No clue what you are talking about. Also, education or specialized degrees don’t matter here. The guy in the video probably doesn’t have a degree yet will likely make 50 times the salary in 10 years than you will make in your life.

This post is way off topic, without merit, and unreasonably inflammatory.

Your post history isn't really showing mature behaviour either.

You certainly have taken this hard. The mascot thought it was all in fun. Plenty of video shows him brushing it off and giving back what he got.

We're taking away your man card. You can have it back when realize this is football, not ballet.

x2

Of course what happened fits the legal definition of assault and for the reasons above he should be charged, but he will he? No.

Cheap-shot tackle of a mascot is playing football?

Of course the guy is trying to “play it cool” after the fact. Still doesn’t change the fact that it was an assault.

Time to tell the difference between right and wrong and carry a real “man card”.
