One watch for some fun at Sundance, thoughts?
Hello amigos,
Going to be spending 5 days in Park City, Utah for Sundance. I will be doing some skying, watching movies, and partying, hopefully with some famous people. I’d like to only take one watch that would fit all those activities. Thoughts? I am torn between the following: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Can't go wrong with any of them, my order of preference would be
1. GMT 2. Sub 3. Panerai 4. Explorer

Since the time zone difference from your location is only an hour, I would take the Sub. If you were traveling further I would pick the GMT.

It depends on if you want to be under the radar. I’d probably wear my GMT for most trips like that.
As a contrast, when I’ve been in Baltimore staying downtown, I wear my vintage Omega 36mm on a leather strap. I don’t want a date bubble or anything obvious on my wrist there. I wouldn’t even wear a Datejust in Baltimore. |

Though about taking a vintage watch but I am worried skiing might damage it! GMT or Sub would serve well indeed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The Explorer would work well, I think. It's a great "Adventure Watch", which it sounds like is your intent... I think you'll see a lot of Subs out and about, and I'm personally not a Panerai guy. The GMT would be my second choice for this scenario (although it would be my first choice for almost any other time; love that BLRO).
Have fun! |

I’ll pick the sub ND. But they are all winners.

I think the Explorer is a great watch for Park City. I brought mine yesterday! Along with my JLC.

Side note. For any WIS visiting Sundance via Salt Lake City I would highly recommend stopping by the Rolex/Patek AD downtown. While they probably won't have the Rolex you're hoping for, it is architecturally without a doubt the most impressive AD i've been in besides the Geneva salon. 3 enormous stories with a spiral staircase up the middle. Built is the early 1900's as a city library and later a Planetarium. When the current jewelry store, OC Tanner, remodeled they restored the back wall with a massive laser stone etched glass piece. According to Wikipedia it's the "largest in the world"

You’ll need a date to Anke sure you’re seeing the movies and events and keep track of the outside world. Otherwise it doesn’t matter. Just don’t brake a leg. I did that a coupe,of years ago, it just sucks. So party on and have fun. Go see the ascap events, they’re genius and fun..
