Hi guys, i'm new to this site and am also looking to buy a rolex in the near future so i'm doing some research for the time being... i was wondering what's the difference in series? i mean the z series and the m series? which is better and what's the difference? what else should i be looking for? thx all..

Hi and welcome!!
The letters represent the year a Rolex watch has been made. The letter is always followed by a number (and they both form the serial number of a watch).

i think z and m are almost the same year but different month...and there new m that are the same year with the v...

hi

pls check www.oysterworld.com it will help you. m series newer production than z.m series rolex were manufactured mostly 2008 i think.but when you get your rolex in an AD it still brand new of course and the warranty starts from the date you purchase it that the AD will stamp on your card type certificate.

One series isn't really better than the other. The letter can give you a rough idea of when the watch case was made, but not a lot other than that. People place too much emphasis on the letter series - if there's a particular model you were interested in, I'm sure the fine members on this forum can point you in the right direction
