Well my guess is 'China" but they would never disclose that. As for many other brands particularly 'Montblanc' I know for sure most of their packaging is from China and Italy.

Probably from China or some Eastern European countries (near the final assembly point) with low labor costs. As long as a certain % of material is made in a country and the final assembly is in one country, they can call the boxes "made in XXXXX" instead of made in China. That much I remember our PR department (making industrial products).
Certain luxury product companies purchases pieces of boxes or parts from various locations in the world (or at least different factories) and then piece them together to reduce the chance of counterfeit products. |

I wouldn't be surprised if they were made somewhere in Asia. The watches are the thing Rolex insists is made entirely in Switzerland and by them.

The Rolex Boxes are produced in Thailand. I know one of the managers of the factory that makes them.

Nope. It is just a Box. Still made for Rolex, under Rolex guidelines. Probably 80% of the stuff one owns these days is made in Asia.
When I was in Iraq, my tatical web gear was made in Vietnam, my clothing made in Cambodia, my watch made in Swiss Land, but came in a box made in Asia. My phone was from Europe, and my knife was from South Africa and my Firearm from Germany. Who cares where stuff is made, as long as it is good quality. |
