Only buy it if you’re going to keep it ... with tax it'll be $41k and i highly doubt it’ll be easy to unload, even breaking even. Any grey will need to buy it cheqp to leave some room for a profit and these sell at a discount new anyway. Nice watch though and a good price if you’re actually going to keep and enjoy.

That was discussed in previous threads. The Rolex web site or the Costco web site says no mfr warranty.

I have heard useless gossip the platinum 36 DD is no longer available for order. I would grab one if you want one. Probably slated for an upgrade and existing inventory is gone.

I would buy a complete good condition example at 22K. For some reason the Rolex platinum DD 36 takes a big hit. I wonder if it is because the watches are so heavy for their size.

Be cautious of buying from big box stores. I saw an Omega in a Sam's Club a few years back with a heck of a deal attached to it. I found out later that the reason for the augmented price was because of warranty/service complications.

Costco warrants it; no need for a Rolex warranty. Costco’s warranty is for life.

In a discussion with my nearby Costco’s manager, she said each one of them decides how to locally source unique jewelry items. In her case a local AD is essentially liquidating older stock that hasn’t moved for almost a year. She is taking lower risk and only stocking ladies models to avoid tying up capital.

This is at the Costco near me, that watch has been sitting in the case for over a year. Guess the market for a $37k watch isn't that big lol.

Not surprised. Another thing it has going against it is that a 36mm is a girly watch and being platinum, most women may find it too heavy.

$1M is really on the low end if you are talking about the heart of Silicon Valley. I think it's about $1.5M at least now (and this is after the slight drop since the end of 2018). :)

Ugh...a 36mm DD is certainly not girlie lol. It’s a classic Rolex. Unreal.

You'd be lucky to find a 1 BR condo for that.

Nothing like a PT DD on the wrist.. feels heavy but in a good way, very solid and sturdy, yet smooth as butter,

40K at Costco will buy me a lot of Kirkland toilet paper. I'm going to pass on this deal.

Def not a girly watch by any stretch. 36mm DD is classic quintessential Rolex.
I say that because I own one and have girly wrists lol!

Yikes, I don’t know if this would be the best example to show that it’s not a girlie watch.

I’ve heard there’s a used day/date in the Costco Fort Myers location but haven’t verified it.

Only 1mill? Then it cannot be in the heart of Silicon Valley. I work in Mountain View and houses seems to be from 2M and up.

Who needs a warranty ? If anything wrong it costs peanuts to have it fixed.

It’s heavy, but not THAT heavy. My wife wears a 118206 Platinum DD36 and she absolutely LOVES it. Don’t kid yourself........it’s an awesome size and weight for men and women.
