Wow one clever dude! Fascinating.

Just shows you the mark up on PM Rolexes, only $465 of gold on a TT model.

What good is $450 worth of gold, minus the cost of extracting the gold, when with a full service, the watch could sell for several thousand dollars with which one could purchase a couple of ounces of gold?

That disassembly was tough to watch, but it was otherwise a really neat video. Thanks for posting it.

Exactly my thoughts. It was a cool video, but a shame that such a nice watch had to be destroyed like that.

I thinks it’s more a question of the value of the “WhatsInside” guys getting their name mentioned in a video that generates 500k views. Doubt they care about the scraps

The narrator claimed that he was extracting the gold for a customer, not simply to make a video for YouTube.

Waiting for the comments... so.... the solid PM Daytona is not worth that much more than SS Daytona and therefore the SS prices can catch up to PM prices?

(I'm only joking )... but then again, people shouldn't get fixated on metals, buy what you like and enjoy!
