Baselworld Questions
Hi all,
I will be going to my first baselworld show in a couple weeks. I was wondering some logistics-- what time to arrive on the first day(should i get there when it opens at 9 or are there long queues and i need to arrive earlier to get on line?) How long do i need to see the major attractions (mainly rolex, tudor, Patek, Seiko...) Any other advice on seeing Basel generally Thanks! |

I would think you can move along the main exhibits at whatever speed you would like. I believe for the general public you are only going to be able to look at the watches behind the glass displays as any interactions with the brands seem limited to journalists and the retailers. You might have luck with some of the smaller brands.

I’ve had a good time there - where are you staying? We had to take a train in from Zurich so that made for a longer day. Left around 9am and got to Basel an hour or so later. Grabbed a ramen right outside the convention space. Need at least 4-5 hours for the show... I felt rushed, so my own fault. All of the displays are amazing. You’ll not want to miss any vendors including the jewelers and new brands. Unfortunately most everything is behind glass, but you’ll feel welcomed by everyone.

Hope you have a great trip and can maybe share some pictures of the show’s new releases (even under glass).

Same here, I am going to a wedding in Germany during that time and I am planning to visit Basel and Baselworld for a day or two.
Planning to arrive there on Sunday and fly back to Hamburg on Monday afternoon or evening. I think a full day should be enough to see all watch vendors, especially considering that this will be the smallest Baselworld in a long time as many brands will be absent compared to prior years. Looking forward to it. Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk |

Insane watch... somehow missed those. Take pics!!! Super jealous. If you haven’t tried the sausages at train station do yourself a favor and snag one.
